He
has composed music for films, solo guitar, guitar duo and
various ensembles, notably a concerto for two guitars, "Czardas"
He
has also orchestrated music for the CD "Romantic
French Music" (Naxos) and has arranged the music
for several complete recordings.
Recently,
he has composed a series of works with guitar orchestra
and other instrumental groups such as flutes and choir
called "Segni Meravigliosi".
He
has composed six "friendships" for
Flute Duo for Debra Peckham's birthday in April 1998
as a commission from Marian Ash - the commission was
3 boxes of excellent Sharpham wine (from Marian's vineyard
in Devon), hence the title, "Les Trois Douzaines".
He was
commissioned in 1997 by Jan-Olof
Ericsson to contribute to a publication devoted to
music for mixed guitar ensembles. The two pieces ("Return
to Skye" and "Flight over Lulea") look set
to being favourites among young guitar orchestras

Cathedra" for the Exeter College Youth Orchestra,
which was played at the Festival Hall in London on 8th
July. This was followed by a piece for Cello and full
orchestra,
"Inner Hope". His
second concerto for 2 guitars, originally for 2 guitars
and guitar orchestra was performed in 1998 by Duolisme and
also the Eden-Stell Duo. It will be part of a programme
of music for guitar(s) and orchestra by Rodrigo and Garcia
in the year 2000, where the Amadeus
Duo and the Eden-Stell
Duo will tour with this concerto (based on themes collected
by Frederico Garcia Lorca) and Aranjuez, Madrigal and Andaluz
by Joaquin Rodrigo.
